The Anti-Queens - ‘Disenchanted’

The Anti-Queens ferocious from the get go - gate opens pummelling begins and stays pummeling over the course of Disenchanted, the latest from the femmeforward punk outfit. Or is it metal outfit? and who cares about the outfit anyway ya sexist fack! Either/or its a crossover at times - those riffs are thrash as fat! Emily Bones on guitar, Val Knox on guitar, Micheal Crusty on bass, Alejandro Serritiello on drums - There’s a bit of death, lot of doom, lot of down, in the lyrics, relationships gone south, expectations gone north but also a lot of that Dylan line - Tom, not Bob, in the sound; that Rage, rage against the dying one - like life is this one long ferocious roar at the darkness closing in - fab affirmative punk rock in all its angst as anger. Rage on!
