Oshawa Made: New Cuff The Duke merch by Frere Du Nord
Wayne Petti of Cuff The Duke posted on Instagram:
“Both Paul and I grew in Oshawa and that’s where the band started. If you’re familiar with Cuff The Duke you probably already know that. I’ve always felt that it was important to keep Oshawa woven into the fabric of the band’s identity. I love the clothes that @freredunord make and the fact that they make it all in Oshawa makes it even better. We reached out to see if they would do a merch collaboration with us and we were thrilled that they agreed. These clothes are 100% made and designed not only in Canada but in the Shwa. The guys and I are genuinely honoured to be working with them. Below is some additional info on the pieces from the store. Link in the bio to pre-order them and our new album!
The hoodie & t-shirt is made in downtown Oshawa, at Frère du Nord’s integrated factory & retail store, which means you can see exactly how the clothes are being made. Each garment is hand crafted by a single person, start to finish. It’s a level of workmanship and attention to detail that is unique to FDN, but also echoes Oshawa’s own proud manufacturing history.
The hoodie is made with a mid-weight 375 GSM classic heather grey french terry fabric which is 95% cotton with 5% polyester.
The t-shirt is made with a mid-weight 200 GSM jersey that is 100% cotton.
All of Frère du Nord’s fabric is custom knitted right here in Toronto and pre-shrunk prior to cutting & sewing. All of the labels & threads are also made in Ontario.”
